The Inclusion way…

A more flexible approach to learning

Exams & Learning

Exams

The college is not currently registered for GCSE qualifications.

Our students sit their Functional Skills exams under exam conditions. This means we also assess for access arrangements for students who need additional time, a scribe or a reader.

In March students are encouraged to do mocks in English and maths to prepare them for the final exams which they take in May/ June. The Functional Skills exams are quite short, and students are only entered if they are ready to take the test.

Students also can do some course work which would result in AQA Unit Awards.

Please see the exams sections on our policies pages for more information

How we learn

Students are taught in small groups for most lessons. Typical groups are no more than 5 or 6 students in a room with one or two members of staff. Students have targets set for academic areas of the curriculum linked to their EHCP.
