Following on from our extremely success first event, we are delighted to announce the second instalment of Future Potential: Your Opportunity.
Developed in partnership with Inclusion EB8, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Destination Basingstoke, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, Hampshire County Council, Simpila and BizSpace, these events aim to explore and support local businesses and organisations to champion neurodivergence in the workplace.
Building on the momentum from our inaugural event, this will take place on Tuesday 18th March from 8.30am – 1.30pm at Inclusion EB8, Belvedere House, Basing View, Basingstoke.
The first event was a resounding success, bringing together employers, industry experts and students to explore the inclusive future of work. Attendees left inspired and equipped with new knowledge and connections. This time, we’re taking it a step further by focusing on the real-world experiences and journeys of our participants since the last event.
Inclusion Education Director of Innovation, Mare Greenhalgh said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome so many businesses both new and old to us back to Inclusion EB8.
This is the second event in the series and this workshop is really building on the feedback and our own learning from the first session. We will be exploring further about what support we can offer to businesses wanting to offer work placements and potential employment to our students, hearing more from those already involved and working together to find solutions to some of the questions and barriers which may be in place.
We were overwhelmed by the support the first session received, and we are so grateful to all the businesses who have already taken on students for work experience, mentoring or learning sessions with our young people. “
This event takes place during Neurodiversity Celebration Week, a time to showcase and celebrate how our differences can enhance our world and make a better space for everyone
