At Inclusion College, we are committed to providing students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to explore future career opportunities. Our vocational studies programme offers practical, hands-on learning in a range of professional fields, helping students develop key competencies while working towards recognised qualifications.
How It Works
Each term, students choose a vocational subject to focus on, allowing them to gain in-depth experience in a specific area. At the end of the term, they have the opportunity to select a new subject, ensuring they can explore a variety of career pathways throughout the year.
Vocational Options
Students can develop skills in a range of industries, including:
Office Skills & IT – Build workplace IT skills, explore office administration, and use modern technology.
Animal Care – Gain experience in dog care, grooming, and understanding responsibilities in animal welfare.
Art, Design & Enterprise – Explore creative industries through upcycling, fashion design, and selling artwork.
Hair & Beauty – Develop skills in salon management, hairstyling, skincare, and customer service.
Drama & Performance – Build confidence through acting, improvisation, and stage production while developing teamwork and communication skills.
Each subject combines practical experience with theoretical knowledge, providing students with relevant industry skills and qualifications that support their future aspirations.
Progression and Opportunities
Vocational studies at Inclusion College prepare students for further training, employment, or additional qualifications. Some areas, such as Hair & Beauty and Construction, offer the opportunity to work towards Level 1 and 2 qualifications, equipping students with industry-recognised credentials.
Through this programme, students develop practical expertise, enhance their employability, and gain valuable insight into potential career paths, ensuring they are well prepared for their next steps.
