Life Skills and Well-being

Our Life Skills curriculum aims to help students to develop skills and strategies to improve their mental health and well-being in life. 

Units studied include:

 

  • Managing stress and anxiety
  • Healthy relationships
  • SRE
  • Internet Safety
  • Staying safe
  • Drugs and alcohol education
  • Prejudice, diversity and discrimination
  • Social skills and peer relationships
  • Family conflict 

 

New in 2022, we held our first dedicated Life Skills Week at Inclusion – with a whole range of different activities taking place to support our students. These included first aid, sign language, journey and train travel experience along with practical skills such as DIY, ironing, sewing on a button and changing bedding.
